BMW UK has decided to go with the Competition Pack on 2016 BMW M3 as a mid-life tweak. The introduction of the Competition Pack has become an entity of the M3 lifecycle and now it is about to hack the M4 models as well.
When BMW came up with the idea on the recalled E46, it selected to name it as CS in the UK. The next targeted models will be E90 and E92 to be modified in the near future.
With the current BMW M performance models where F80 and F82 are in the dominance, increasingly avoiding the mistakes by giving the low powered engines to these models.
This time BMW is giving the muscular option to the M3 models. A 3.0-litre straight six engine is about to offer 19bhp extra than the existing BMW engine.
BMW has offered lot much better than the usual and lot much better in this class and the competition pack is just an attempt to keep the momentum up. The uprated 445bhp engine will help reduce the deficiency of the model and all the power will be available from 7000 rpm with the 406 lb-ft of torque. The torque will start flooding from just 1850 rpm. The all new engine will help reduce the deficiency of the BMW against the C63 AMG with its full power and seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The latest straight inline six cylinder engine implied by the new Competition Pack quantifies the zero to 62 miles per hour with a drop of 1 second. The car is now better to drive with the further refinement seen on the rear differential and ESP response system. It gives a muscular feel on the chassis with the less fluttering warning lights.
