Renault has pulled the wraps off its next generation Scenic at the Geneva Motor Show. The fourth generation has sharp and striking design to occupy the new segment to straddle the MPV and Crossover segment at the same time.
The all new Scenic inspires from the design philosophy seen on the R-Space concept in 2011. It mixes the crossover features with the qualities of an MPV while being larger than a conventional old car. The entire range will benefit from the 20-inch wheels as standard on all models.
The all new Scenic worked hard to achieve its targets to ensure the positive stance of the it with added flare and style in to the class.
Renault is powering the new Scenic with a bunch of diesel engines and all are optional by the way. There will be two petrol engines to make it even better on the selection list.
Renault Scenic diesel engines power ranges from 94bhp to 158bhp while the petrol engine line-up will deliver 113bhp and 128bhp. There will be a hybrid assist model to broaden the line-up.
Renault has not disclosed any economy figures yet but if other models used as an example, we expect around 70 miles per gallon on average from diesel and somewhere around from petrol engines.
A six-speed manual transmission has been added as a standard to the class, however, a similar dual-clutch automatic will be offered as an option too.
As optional extras, there is a list of features available where LED headlights, diamond cut alloy wheels and multi-tone colour scheme will be on hand to opt for. Though the pricing has not been released yet but it is expected that the new Scenic will be offered around £5000 extra over the present model.
