The Nissan Juke is available in a wide variety of petrol engines but there is only one diesel engine in the whole engine lineup. The Juke is much comfortable with its diesel engine which offers a good and efficient performance according to its size and outputs.
The 1.5 litre diesel engine is with start-stop technology and quite efficient in fuel consumption. It is capable of 108bhp and 192lb/ft torque. It takes 10.8 seconds to get from 0-62m/h with top speed of 110m/h.
The most impressive thing in this diesel engine is its huge fuel average of 70m/g with low CO2 emissions of 104g/km. It is fitted with six-speed manual gearbox with front-wheel drive unit as standard.
The 1.6 litre engine is an entry-level petrol engine with 94 and 115bhp versions along with 103 and 117lb/ft torque. Both versions are sluggish in performance and take 11.6 and 10.6 seconds respectively to get from 0-62m/h with top speed of 104 and 111m/h. Both of them give 47m/g of fuel average with 138g/km of emissions.

The adjustable switch for accelerator pedals response effectively. The road grip is efficient and gives a smooth driving. The handy weight and well built design improves its performance in cruising on motorway. Suspension gives a little bit hard time but perform well.
In its debut in 2010, the Juke was welcomed by the audience as well as the dealers due to its novelty and good interior in affordable price. With passage of time it has gained fame and name in the market as a brand with odd looking exterior and acceptable interior. In the year of 2014, it was in the list of most popular vehicle in UK.
Its visual appearance with wide grille, big angular headlamps unique in its class and bouncy design have made the Juke a good option to use. The interior is in its best functional form from the entry-level VISIA to the range topping TEKNA. The Juke offers a good steering seat and wheel with full adjustment controls. The leather work is awesome with metallic hi-tech equipments.
The Juke is fitted with colorful touch screen and Sat Nav as standard. Cabin material is not class leading, but practical and efficient in working. The cruise control, climate control, reversing camera and keyless entry with effective gearstick, the Juke is full of equipments and options. Some critics are not satisfied by the material level of the Juke but overall standard of the infotainment features are reasonable especially in low price.
The Nissan Juke SUV is a mini with congested interior, so there is scarce of space and storage capacity. There is a plenty of good room in between front seats and dashboard but the rear seats shrink the passengers due to less leg room. The low roof line means the head room is also not enough for a tall adult.
The Juke is the best option for those who are not frequent in long journeys, the over packed interior, dropping roofline and rear seats with less leg and head room give a bad long journey experience. The Vauxhall Mokka and the Ford EcoSport offer the same rear space as we find in the Juke.
The doors are not with wide opening hinges and wheel arches are also big creating hindrance in climbing. The boot space is reasonable with 354 litres in the latest models of the Nissan Juke after improvement in 2014, but not as big and effective as we find in other competitors still.
Now the rear seats split folding system offers 1189 litres space for luggage. If we review the size of this mini SUV, we find that the manufacturer has tried to give a vehicle with features of a big and large SUV and practicality of a car in its Juke and the Nissan has achieved its goal.
