Camaro is one of the best American cars we’ve ever seen and the sixth generation of Camaro has been in testing for weeks now.
To craft the shape of new Camaro, team of engineers spent 350 hours in the wind-tunnel to perform testing. The outcome of these tests was absolutely mesmerising, reduction of total life by 30 per cent and the development of flush belly pan, stretching from the centre of the car to the front.
What is rumoured to be powering the new Camaro is a 6.2 litre V8 four cylinder turbocharged engine which will be replacing the current V6 engine. Among other goodies, each new Camaro will feature a selector for driving modes like sport, ice/snow and touring driving modes. The SS model on the other hand will also feature track driving mode.
It has been confirmed that the Camaro SS will get the new magnetic ride control which was first reserved for the ZL1 only. What it does is that depending on your high performance driving style, it changes itself and increases suspension stiffness for a high-performance driving experience. That’s not all, continually adjusting damping rates makes driving fun. As the driving mode is changed to normal, the suspension automatically reverts back to a much soothing state.
This new Camaro may never be able to offer the luxury of Mercedes-Benz or the off-road experience of a Grand Tourer, but it surely is something worth waiting for and spending some money on.
