The Audi A5 is a series of compact executive cars produced by the German automaker Audi since 2007. The Audi A5 is available in three body styles the Coupe, the Cabriolet and the Sportback. There are different trim levels to choose from, including SE, SE Technik and S Line.

The diesel engine range starts with 187bhp 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine, which is recognized as the most efficient engine available in the diesel line up.
The engine has great pulling power of 295lb/ft. this engine produces an exceptional fuel economy of 70.5m/g, while emitting just 99g/km of Carbon. It is capable to get the coupe from 0-62m/h in 7.7 seconds.
At the top of this diesel lineup, there is a 3.0 TDI V6 Quattro with 237bhp of power and 369lb/ft of torque. In Coupe it is equipped with six-speed manual, six-speed Tiptrnic and seven-speed S Tronic gearboxes.
The same version of engine is equipped with six-speed manual and seven-speed S Tronic gearboxes in Sportback, while in Cabriolet this engine is equipped with seven-speed S Tronic gearbox. It is made for speed and acceleration. It takes only 6.1 seconds to get from 0-62 m/h.
This diesel version is more effective and speedy if equipped with four-wheel drive version then its sprint time is less than 7.2 seconds. Six-speed manual gear transmission is as standard with optional multitronic gear system. The second version of this unit is of 168bhpwith 258lb/ft of torque. This unit is used in the Audi A5 ultra.
It is smooth, quiet and efficient though it is not quick as of 187bhp version, but it keeps good fuel economy and takes the car from 0-62m/h in 8.3 seconds in two-wheel drive with manual gearbox. This time comes down to 7.8 seconds if this version is equipped with automatic gear box irrespectively with, of two-wheel drive or Quattro four-by-four.
Petrol range for A5 starts with the 174bhp 1.8litre TFSI unit which takes 7.9 seconds to get from 0-62m/h. it gives a handsome fuel economy of 50.4m/g with emissions of 127g/km. The 2.0litre TFSI Quattro petrol unit is of 208bhp offering 0-62m/h in 6.3 seconds with 136g/km of Co2 emissions.
At the top of the petrol line-up, a 3.0litreTFSI V6 petrol engine is available with 329bhp of power. It is capable to take this car from 0-62m/h in 4.7 seconds with reasonable fuel economy of 38.2m/g. It emits 170g/km of Co2. All these petrol versions are equipped with six-speed manual as standard and multitrnonic as optional.
