As there in no Skoda Superb Vrs in the line-up, this SportLine version fills the gap easily. It’s quick, drives good, attractive and as the same time practical and cost-effective. The SportLine signifies that it is loaded with kit which adds a sporty look to the car.
The 188bhp diesel engine along with four-wheel drive means it gives a lot of performance whatever the terrain and weather. There is also the cheaper 148bhp engine If you are after extra traction.

The SportLine looks stunning from the inside as well as outside with its tinted windows, 19-inch alloys, black grille and subtle body kit. Skoda has overdone the styling upgrades which makes it cool-looking without being looking like a bully.
Once you jump in, the interior makes it even better as the Alcantara seats feel and look great along with ambient lighting and carbon-effect dash make it seem like a less utilitarian cabin that lower-spec models.
All cars are equipped with a driving mode selector with an option of Eco, Normal and Sport for a bespoke driving experience. You can adjust the steering, gearbox settings and throttle according to your needs.
Although the Superb SportLine may not be as sharp as something like an Octavia vRS, still the car’s chassis is excellent. It’s fun at high speeds with all-wheel drive and has a good balance between weight and feel. The steering could have been quicker.
It is a nice motorway cruiser with a noise free cabin. The 188bhp diesel under the hood gives a lot of performance and although the engine sounds abrupt, it’s 400Nm of torque on is still fun to use.
The DSG automatic gearbox is as excellent as ever in the Superb SportLine. It provides smooth shifts in auto mode and fast ones when changing manually utilising the paddles on the steering wheel. It’s another characteristic of the Superb’s great combination of ability, being both good to drive and comfortable.
The Superb is a truly practical car with Estate version taking the lead. It has 660 litres of boot space which increases to 1,950 litres with the seats down. All of this makes it one of the most spacious cars in the market. It beats all its rivals in the class for space.
There’s lots of room for passengers as well, with plenty of leg and headroom at the rear. Tinted windows make it a little dark back there, but at the front, the comfortable sports seats and neatly-designed dash give it an upmarket feel.
The standard kit on the SportLine has everything you need such as the 19-inch alloys, xenon lights, parking sensors, sat-nav, Wi-Fi, keyless go and the drive select system. The powerful diesel version costs £33,735 and the lower-powered diesel costs £30,840.”
